Opusend — Privacy Policy

Opusend ("we", "us") provides an AI-assisted B2B outreach tool: a Chrome extension plus a hosted service that help you research prospects on LinkedIn and draft and send personalized messages. This policy explains what data we process and why.

What we collect

Account data — your name and email when you create an Opusend account, and authentication records (handled by our auth provider).
CRM data you create — the prospects, companies, notes, message drafts, pipeline stages, and outreach activity you save while using the product. This includes professional profile information (name, headline, role, company) that you choose to capture from LinkedIn or Sales Navigator pages you visit.
Company research — public company websites you ask us to summarize. We fetch the page on our server and extract text to build a company summary.
Operational data — basic logs (timestamps, request status) needed to run and secure the service.

How we use it

To generate personalized outreach drafts, we send the relevant prospect and company information to our AI provider (Anthropic) through our server. This is used only to produce your draft and is not used to train models.
To store and sync your CRM so it is available across reloads and devices and is backed up against data loss.
To send the emails and messages that you compose and approve.

Google user data (Gmail)

If you connect Gmail, Opusend requests the gmail.send scope and your email address (userinfo.email). We use these only to send emails that you compose and approve from within the product, and to show which account is connected.

We do not read, store, or transmit the contents of your mailbox via the Gmail API. Opusend's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not sell Google user data, do not use it for advertising, and do not allow humans to read it except as required for security or with your consent.

Where your data is processed and shared

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with the service providers needed to operate Opusend:

Anthropic — AI generation of your outreach drafts.
Our hosting provider — to run the Opusend servers and database.
Our transactional email provider — to deliver account and outreach emails you send.

The Chrome extension

The extension runs only on LinkedIn, Sales Navigator, Gmail, and Opusend's own pages. It reads page content to capture the prospect data you choose to save and to automate actions you initiate (such as sending a connection request or message). It does not read or collect data from other websites you visit.

Prospect data — who is responsible

The prospects you save are professional contacts you collect for your own business outreach. For that data, you act as the data controller and Opusend acts as your processor: we store and process it only on your instructions (to run the product) and never use it for our own purposes, share it between customers, or sell it. You are responsible for having a lawful basis to contact your prospects and for honoring their objections and deletion requests; deleting a lead in Opusend removes it from our systems.

Cookies

We use a single, strictly necessary session cookie to keep you signed in to app.opusend.com. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Legal basis (GDPR)

We process your account and CRM data to perform our contract with you (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR), and operational logs based on our legitimate interest in running and securing the service (Art. 6(1)(f)).

Retention and your rights

We keep your data while your account is active. You can export or delete your CRM data at any time from the product, and you can request full account deletion by contacting us — we delete your account data within 30 days of a verified request. Depending on your location (including under the GDPR), you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority.
